Tour Itinerary
4 Days Gorilla Tour Rwanda
Day 1: Arrival, city tour and Transfer to Volcanoes NP.
The tour guide / driver shall pick you from the airport on arrival and go for a brief city tour. Visit the genocide memorial, local markets and later drive north of Rwanda to Parc National des Volcans, viewing remarkable scenery of the Virunga Mountains en route. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Muhabura Hotel.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure and evening nature walk.
You will head to the park headquarters after your breakfast with packed lunch to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. In the evening, you will go for nature walk to the twin lakes or cultural walk to Iby’wachu. Dinner and overnight stay (Day 1).
Day 3: Dian Fossey Hike and nature walk.
In the morning, you will go for the hike to Dian Fossey grave, where Dian Fossey, am American primatologist spent years conserving the lives of the mountain gorillas until she was killed and is buried there next to Digit, a mountain gorilla. You will learn more about her work, returning in the evening for Dinner and overnight at (day 1)
Day 4: Golden Monkey tracking, Transfer back to Kigali and departure.
In the morning, you will go for golden monkey tracking, where you will enjoy them play in the forest in search of food. On return, transfer back to Kigali. Depending on your scheduled flight, you can visit local art and craft shops, do last minute shopping before heading to the airport for your scheduled flight.
