Burundi is one the African country that has tightly reserved its traditions and culture as this has been done by preserving its popular historical sites and also passing the traditions and norms from one generation to another as the elder teach the young ones the traditions and customs like the dances and some other ritual as you take a cultural tour in Burundi you will encounter places and performances like snake and cultural museum in Bujumbura, the Intore warrior dancers, the Gasimbo dance, the national museum at Gitega, the Germans gorge at Nyakazu tourist site, also visit the Islam center, the explorers memorial.

Day 1: visit the cultural sites of Bujumbura city:
After breakfast, you will start off your tour with go to snake and culture museum which displays the ancient traditions and the artifact of Burundi’s history, also visit the Islam culture center. Go around the good market and the craft shops around the city. After lunch you will head to Lake Tanganyika the main tourist destination in the city so here you will view the local fishing, you can also play so beach games like volley ball, take a boat ride on the lake, swim, Sun bathe and many more. In the evening, you will enjoy the Gasimbo dance performance as you will see these amazing dancers spinning as if they do have bones in the bodies

Day 2: Drive to Gitega for another cultural tour:
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Gitega. En route you will visit the AgasumokaMwaro which Burundides consider as a historic place that served and still serves as the centre of worship interest for the followers of an ancient traditional belief called the Imana. Then proceed to the national museum which exhibits the artifacts of Burundi traditions and culture. After lunch you will head to Gashora Drum Sanctuary where you will view these wonderful historical drums and also accompanied with the performances. Then you will visit the Nyakazu tourist site (The German Gorge). This was the fort of Germans during world war one using it as a base to control the eastern part of the country by then, you will also enjoy its beautiful scenery. Then you will return to Bujumbura.
