Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Bujumbura Cultural City Tour
First you will go visit the snake and culture museum, the Islam cultural center, the good market and the craft shop. Then in the after lunch you will head to Lake Tanganyika the most popular tourist destination where you will go to the saga beach for swimming and relaxation.

Day 2: Drive to Kibira National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast you will head to Kibira national park in the north west of the country near the Congo basin. You will do a guided walk or better yet go for chimps trekking and if you will be able to view a lot chimpanzees, white and black monkeys, red colobus, buffaloes, hare and a variety of bird species and of course experience the Wilderness at its best .

Day 3: visit Ruvubu National Park
The final you will visit Ruvubu National Park in the morning for game viewing as you will encounter wildlife like the hippopotamus, buffalo, crocodiles, leopard, monkeys, antelope and lion. Bird lovers will have a marvelous time in the Ruvubu National Park as more than 425 species of birds thrive in this park making it all the more attractive. Then you head back to Bujumbura city and drive to Rwanda for overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge/Peace guest House.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and afternoon Colobus monkey/Canopy walk.
In the morning, you will set off to the forest for chimpanzee tracking adventure. Embark to the hotel for lunch and in the afternoon, either go for colobus monkey tracking where you will encounter other primates as baboons, vervet monkeys, and others. Or go for forest canopy walk or Nature walk in the forest. Dinner and overnight (Day 3).
Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes national park.
Early morning, you will set off a spectacular drive to Volcanoes national park with stopovers for photography and lunch. Reach Volcanoes national park in the evening for dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla View Lodge/La palme Hotel/Muhabura Hotel.
Day 6: Gorilla tracking and afternoon cultural walk.
Early morning, with packed lunch, you will go to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on the gorilla tracking adventure. In the evening, you will go for a cultural walk to Iby’wachu for cultural visit where you will learn more about the Banyarwanda culture. Later visit the Batwa community and learn about their culture as well. Dinner and overnight (Day 5).
Day 7: Golden monkey tracking and Transfer back to Kigali.
Early morning, you will go for golden monkey tracking. On return, transfer back to Kigali, reaching early to visit the Gisozi genocide memorial, local markets among others before transfer to the airport for your departure flight if on schedule.
